We believeā€¦..

  • In one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:10,26]
  • In the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, and preserved in English in the King James Bible which is the infallible, inerrant Word of God, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. [2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21]
  • That the Genesis account of creation is to be accepted literally, not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God’s own image and was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species; that all animal and vegetable life was made directly, and as God ordained, should bring forth only ” after their kind.” [Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11]
  • That man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in the case of those who reach the age of moral responsibility, are sinners in thought, word, and deed. [Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3; 4:1719]

  • In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life here as High Priest and Advocate. [Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 9:24; 7:25; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2]
  • That all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. [John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-19; I John 3:1]
  • In the ‘ Eternal Security ‘ of the believer: that it is impossible for one born into the family of God to be lost. [John 10:28; 2Corinthians 1:22; Romans 11:6]
  • That the Church of our Lord is a visible, local, self-governing body of believers who have been baptized and that there are only two ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s Supper, both of which are administered only to believers. [1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:25-27; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 18:18; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26]
