Scripture to Meditate on, Matthew 21:21-22

Category:Spiritual Tags :

21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” – Matthew 21:21-22 AV.

Scripture to Meditate on, Matthew 20:25-28

Category:Spiritual Tags :

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” – Matthew 20:25-28.

Scripture to Meditate on, Matthew 19:27-30

Category:Spiritual Tags :

27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. 30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.” – Matthew 19:27-30 AV.

Scripture to Meditate on, Psalm 23

Category:Spiritual Tags :

1 ¶ « A Psalm of David. » The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” – Psalm 23:1-6.

Scripture to Meditate on, Genesis 50:20

Category:Spiritual Tags :

Genesis 50:15-21

15 And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. 16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, 17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. 18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants. 19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. 21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

Verse 20 stands out, Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, a terrible horrible event. But look at what God did in the end. He saved the entire family from certain death.

Do not be troubled when people wrong you, or things do not go your way. Be patient and trust that the Lord may be at work in using the event in your life for some great good down yonder on your path in life. As I look back over the years of my life I can plainly see how the Lord did so for me and my family and friends.

Scripture to Mediate on, Psalm 12:6-7

Category:Spiritual Tags :

Psalm 12:6-7, “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Here David pens with the Spirit’s inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16) the promise that the words of our Lord are first pure and second would be preserved forever. I believe the King James Bible is the preserved words spoken of here and stand on that fact BY FAITH.

We actually need every word of God to live Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” So somewhere on earth we must have every Word of God.

The King James Bible for English speaking people is the sole basis for all we believe. It is complete and has all the answers to life’s questions that matter!

Scripture to Meditate on, Proverbs 3:5-6

Category:Spiritual Tags :

Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

There are wrong paths we can walk down in life. Many a person has been destroyed by following their own path. So much better to have the Lord guide us in life. Trust him, walk in the paths He has shown us in the Word of God. You are in His word? I hope so!

Scripture to Meditate on, Matthew 6:19-21

Category:Spiritual Tags :

From my daily reading this morning we find this gem:

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” – Matthew 6:19-21

So many people live their lives for money money money on earth! Never thinking of storing up treasure in heaven. Life on earth is short (James 4: 14, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”). Eternity is forever.

We store up treasure by being faithful to the Lord in our service and in our motives.
